Powerball jackpot won in Ohio; tickets in California and Pennsylvania bring big wins

(FOX40.COM) — Check your Powerball ticket. Millions of dollars were won in the July 4th eve drawing, including the $139 million jackpot.

The winning Powerball numbers were 2, 26, 33, 55, 57 and the Powerball was 22. The PowerPlay was 2x.


A single ticket in Ohio won the $139 million jackpot, while another ticket in Pennsylvania and two in California won big prizes after matching all five numbers.

According to the Powerball website, the Pennsylvania ticket won $1 million.

According to the California Lottery, the two Powerball tickets sold in California each brought prizes of nearly $400,000.

One of the California tickets was sold in Sanger, just a few miles east of Fresno, and the other in Forestville, about 70 miles north of San Francisco.

According to Powerball, nearly 300,000 tickets nationwide won prizes worth at least $4.

The Powerball drawing takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

After the grand prize is won, the next drawing begins again with a grand prize of $20 million.
