NRL 2024, Cronulla Sharks, Gold Coast Titans, Round 18 preview, official team lists, injuries, updates

The Sharks will be hoping the North Coast will bring them better luck when they host the Titans in Coffs Harbour after two narrow defeats.

After losing to the Dolphins by just two points in Round 16, Cronulla suffered another close defeat last Friday after a Matt Burton field goal denied them another win against the Bulldogs.

Having slipped to fourth place in the ladder following losses in four of their last five games, Cronulla will be looking to return to the form that has seen them win seven games in a row.

The Titans, on the other hand, are well rested after a game-free Round 17 and will be looking to continue the form that saw them crush the Warriors 66-6 in Round 16.

Team News

Sharks: There was one change on Thursday, with Toby Rudolf withdrawn from the squad and Tuku Hau Tapuha promoted to the bench. Daniel Atkinson came in on the wing for Sione Katoa (concussion protocols). Jayden Berrell and Tom Rodwell remained in the squad as it was reduced to 19 players.

Titans: AJ Brimson's comeback has been put on hold as Titans medical staff gave him another week to overcome a groin injury. Centre Phil Sami has also been ruled out after suffering a calf strain ahead of Thursday's captain's run. Tanah Boyd is the new link and Jacob Alick-Wiencke moves into centre. Winger Jojo Fifita is back after missing the Warriors game through illness. Moeaki Fotuaika's return from his stint with the Maroons means Josiah Pahulu is back on the bench.
