Lainey Wilson continues her story with new “4x4xU” music video

Lainey Wilson continues the story she told in the music video for “Hang Tight Honey” with a new music video for her current single “4x4xU.” She released the single and video on July 4th and announced the surprise at the end of the “Hang Tight Honey” video.

The new video picks up where the other one left off. The two characters hold hands as the road stretches out before them. Lainey Wilson looks to her right and there is an old pickup truck waiting for her. Wilson starts singing the sweet ballad as the two begin their journey home. Wilson leans out the window and counts her gig money in the passenger seat.

While “Hang Tight Honey” is about playing shows, making money, and missing your darling on the road, “4x4xU” is more about the aftermath of touring, being home, and enjoying the little things. The music video for “Hang Tight Honey” was vintage-inspired, taking us through the 60s and 70s. “4x4xU,” however, is rooted in the present, but still has that dreamy feel that connects the two videos.

A lot of people know the songs on the radio, but they don't know who sings them. I need to be on TikTok as much as possible, they need to know me as a friend and then get to know my music. And so I really took the lead with that foot, and then 'Yellowstone' came along.”

When Wilson was cast in Yellowstonesome people finally saw a face associated with the hits. Her popularity soared and her career took off. Now she's the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year and doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.
