Wrexham travels to the American west coast, while Cardiff City and Newport County both travel to the west of England and Swansea City travels to Austria.

Pre-season objectives may vary, but the aim of all four Welsh EFL clubs is the same: to prepare optimally for the 2024–25 season.

Players have reported for duty and training has resumed as the countdown continues to the start of the new EFL season, which begins on August 10.

Wrexham return to the States after spending time there last year before gaining promotion from League Two.

As Phil Parkinson's side prepare to return to England's third tier for the first time since 2005, they have a number of outstanding friendlies to look forward to against Premier League opponents such as Bournemouth and Chelsea, as well as MLS team Vancouver in Canada.

However, they start in the more modest surroundings of Northern Premier League Division One side Hanley Town, but will be without their striker Paul Mullin, who is recovering from surgery.

In addition, Erol Bulut's Cardiff will play against German, Belgian and Cypriot premier opponents.

Swansea's preparations for their first full season under Luke Williams include a match against second division side 1. FC Köln in Austria, with further fixtures to be confirmed.

League Two Newport will start the new year with a series of local games, according to Graham Coughlan, starting with the traditional game at Undy.
