Director of Men’s Basketball Operations – Dartmouth College


Oversees all administrative functions of the Men's Basketball Team office. Manages information flow and exchange, streamlines interactions with key stakeholders, and drives major initiatives on behalf of the Men's Basketball Team Head Coach. Undertakes a variety of administrative duties requiring independent judgment and decision making regarding College and Athletic Department policies.

Bachelor's degree

Required qualifications – skills, knowledge and abilities

  • 3 or more years of experience in basketball operations or equivalent experience in office management/administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven ability to supervise and guide student-athletes and to be committed to the welfare of student-athletes.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and other key program supporters.
  • Ability to exercise judgment, confidentiality and discretion in sensitive situations.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, complex environment and respond quickly to changes in the workplace.
  • In addition to regular weekday hours, evening and weekend hours are required, including travel to away games and attendance at home games.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in collegiate sports, preferably as a coach and/or player at Division I men’s basketball.
