Kris Jenner has to have her ovaries removed after her doctor discovers a tumor

Kris Jenner shared some health updates with her daughters and partner Corey Gamble.

In this week’s episode of The Kardashians In season five, the momager told Khloé Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner that she had received a message from her doctors that required surgery.

“I wanted to tell you something… I went to the doctor and got my scan done,” she told her family before she started crying during their family trip to Aspen, Colorado. “They found – and this is making me really emotional – a cyst and a small tumor on my ovary.”

She continued, “Dr. A said I had to have my ovaries removed, and that makes me very sad because they were so useful to you,” adding in a confession, “That's where all my children were conceived and that's where they grew up, in my womb. So that's a very sacred place for me.”

In a comment, Kim admitted that she was “really sad” for her mother. She couldn't imagine what she was going through and how scared she was about the news that she would have to undergo therapy.

“Look, if I can survive the hip surgery, I can survive this,” Kris said. “I'm not nervous when I'm put under anesthesia. I'm not nervous with Dr. A. She's the best doctor in the world. But then you do it and… it's so real.”

When Khloé gets her sister Kourtney Kardashian on the phone, Kris tells her the news. In a confessional, Kourtney explains that she understands what her mother is probably feeling because she would feel it too.

“It's your feminine power and that doesn't mean it takes away who she is or what she's experienced, but I would feel that sentimental feeling of what came from it,” Kourtney said.

Kris cried throughout the conversation and said it was a sign that she was getting older and a part of her life was officially over, which was sad: “It's a whole chapter that's just closed.”

New episodes of The Kardashians airs Thursdays on Hulu.
