Strange green liquid leaks from broken pipe at Miami International Airport

MIAMI, Florida. – A leak at Miami International Airport on Thursday caused green liquid to spill all over the floor, according to airport officials.

In a press releaseAirport officials said they received reports of a broken pipe in Hall G around 9 a.m.

After emergency responders were dispatched to investigate the incident, they found the spilled liquid, but it turned out not to be dangerous.

Although the liquid was removed within 90 minutes, the press release does not specify exactly what liquid was involved.

However, News 6 partner WPLG-TV reported that a spokesman said it was just water from an air conditioning system.

The water is dyed green so that leaks like the one on Thursday morning can be traced back to their source, the spokesman said.

In addition, authorities stated that the leak had no impact on air traffic to and from the airport.
