Set in turn-of-the-century New York, Newsies tells the stirring story of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a group of teenage newsboys. When the titans of the publishing world raise distribution prices at the expense of newsboys, Jack rallies newsboys from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what is rightfully theirs.

“Newsies” is based on the 1992 film and is inspired by a true story. The Tony Award-winning score was written by Alan Menken (“Little Shop of Horrors,” “Sister Act”) and Jack Feldman, and the book was written by Tony Award-winning Harvey Fierstein (“Kinky Boots”). The show features the now classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe.”
