A first look at the Louisville basketball team's big board for 2026

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – June 15 was a big day in the world of recruiting for the men's college basketball team, as it was the first day coaches were able to contact prospective players in the class of 2026 directly. Previously, this was only possible through third parties.

Louisville head coach Pat Kelsey and the rest of the Cardinals coaching staff have certainly taken advantage of the change in the recruiting calendar. Over the past few weeks and months, the program has contacted several prospects from the class and even offered them a few scholarships.

The staff's activity since mid-June and even before that gives us some insight into which young players Louisville is currently targeting and prioritizing. Most of these recruits won't verbally commit to a school for quite a while, and there are plenty of other targets Louisville is keeping an eye on, but let's take a closer look at the Cardinals' top targets so far in the Class of 2026:
