Dallas Jenkins, creator of the acclaimed series The chosen oneshas unveiled the first trailer for his latest directorial project, The best Christmas game ever.

The Lionsgate Christmas film is set to hit theaters on November 8 and promises a heartwarming story just in time for the Christmas season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Starring Judy Greer as Grace Bradley, the film follows her character's journey as she volunteers to lead her church's annual Christmas play.

However, her initial enthusiasm soon turns into a challenge when she realizes that the participation of the mischievous Herdman children threatens to jeopardize the entire event.

Jenkins directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Platte F. Clark, Darin McDaniel and Ryan Swanson. The best Christmas game ever is based on Barbara Robinson's popular book of the same name from 1972, it is said The Hollywood Reporter.

Pete Holmes, Molly Belle Wright and Lauren Graham also play important roles in the film.

Jenkins reflected on his approach to religious storytelling in Hollywood and shared his perspective The Hollywood Reporter said: “If we believe that faith plays a role in culture, what's stopping us from making things like others in Hollywood do that have their own message or agenda? The best filmmakers are personal and have a voice. I thought, 'Well, what's wrong with me having my voice?'”
