VFW/Junior Legion Baseball Recap: Willmar Post 1639 holds off Litchfield 7-5 – West Central Tribune

LITCHFIELD – Jordan Ellingson threw three scoreless innings to help Willmar Post 1639 to a 7-5 win over Litchfield in a VFW baseball game on Tuesday night.

Willmar built a 6-2 lead before Litchfield Post 2818 caught up and narrowed the deficit to 6-5.

Then came Ellingson, who had seven strikeouts and no walks. He gave up three hits.

Gavin Evnson led Willmar with 3-for-4, a run and an RBI. Also for Post 1639, Tyler Madsen was 2-for-3 with a home run, a hit by pitch and three RBIs, Aiden Paulson was 2-for-3 with a double, a run, an RBI and two stolen bases and Hudson Sjoberg was 2-for-3 with a hit by pitch and a run.
